Bettina Anderson, a model and socialite from Palm Beach, Florida, married Donald Trump Jr. in May 2026. The wedding made her one of the newest members of the Trump family, though her own life story began decades before she ever met Don Jr.
Where Anderson Comes From
Anderson was born on December 9, 1986, in Palm Beach. Her father, Harry Loy Anderson Jr., became the youngest bank president in United States history when he took over Worth Avenue National Bank at 26 years old in 1970. He went on to sit on the board of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and on the national board of the American Red Cross, according to Wikipedia. He died in 2013 at age 70 after battling Alzheimer’s disease. Her mother, Inger Anderson, was a Swedish model who later moved into business.
A few other family details:
- Anderson has a twin sister, Kristina, along with two more sisters and two brothers
- The family lived on a lakefront property in one of Palm Beach’s older neighborhoods
- She attended Palm Beach Day School before finishing her schooling at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton
Her Career and Charity Work
Anderson studied at Columbia University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. According to her LinkedIn profile, cited by Glam, she worked as a relationship manager at an investment firm after graduating, then held additional management and consulting roles before moving into modeling and social media work.
In 2007, Anderson and her siblings started Project Paradise, a nonprofit focused on disaster relief for communities hit by hurricanes and other natural disasters. The organization expanded in 2021 with the Project Paradise Film Fund, which supports environmental storytelling and gives grants to filmmakers working on conservation projects.
Her Relationship With Donald Trump Jr.
Reports first connected Anderson and Donald Trump Jr. romantically in September 2024. The two confirmed the relationship publicly at President Trump’s inauguration in January 2025, where they were photographed holding hands and dancing together at several events, as CNN reported. They announced their engagement in December 2025.
The Wedding in Florida and the Bahamas
The couple legally married in Palm Beach County on May 21, 2026. Two days later, they held a larger celebration on Little Pipe Cay, a private island in the Bahamas, over Memorial Day weekend. The guest list was kept small on purpose, with roughly 40 people attending, according to Newsweek.
Guests included:
- Don Jr.’s five children from his first marriage to Vanessa Trump: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe
- His sister Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner
- His half sister Tiffany Trump and her husband, Michael Boulos
- His brother Eric Trump
President Trump did not attend. He posted on Truth Social that his responsibilities in Washington, at a time when tensions with Iran were high, kept him from making the trip, though he congratulated the couple.
Before the Wedding, She Was Already Close to the Family
Anderson attended Tiffany Trump’s baby shower at Mar a Lago in April 2025, more than a year before her own wedding. She is now stepmother to Don Jr.’s five children from his first marriage, in addition to running Project Paradise and continuing the modeling and social media work she built before meeting him.
